NFLVR's Fantasy Football Take

ALL PREDICTIONS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE BEFORE THE START OF THE 2012 NFL SEASON
(Please note we will update this page frequently as we form fantasy football opinions)

Avery, Donnie (Indianapolis Colts WR) - NFLVR's 2012 Fantasy Football Breakout Deep Sleeper of the Year. We expect Avery to fill the void left by Pierre Garcon since they are like players. Additionally, the Colts running game is now missing Joseph Addai and Andrew Luck, being the number one pick in the entire 2012 NFL Draft, is expected to be much better than Curtis Painter, Dan Orlvoski, and Kerry Collins were last season for the Colts. Remember Avery was a highly regarded 2nd Draft Pick in the 2008 Draft by the Rams and it "normally" takes a young WR a few years to get used to the NFL. Avery has great speed, as healthy as he has been in his NFL career, been blowing up at practices thus far, and Garcon had 947 yards, 13.5 average, 6 touchdowns. We expect even more out of Avery and some serious rushing yards for a WR to boot. (click here for our June 21, 2012 tweet of this prediction on Twitter)

Brady, Tom (New England Patriots QB) - 2012 NFLVR projection: (Passing) 574 attempts, 5029 yards, 8.8 yards per att, 45 tds, and (Rushing) 39 attempts, 101 yards, 2.6 yards per carry, and 2 tds. (click here for our August 4, 2012 tweet of this projection on Twitter)

Brees, Drew (New Orleans QB) - 2012 NFLVR projection: 4736 yards, 7.8 yards per att, 35 tds. (click here for our August 19, 2012 tweet of this projection on Twitter)

Floyd, Malcom (San Diego Chargers WR) - 2012 NFLVR projection: 58 receptions, 1056 yards, 18.2 average, and 9 tds. (click here for our July 2, 2012 tweet of this projection on Twitter)

Floyd, Michael (Arizona Cardinals WR) - NFLVR predicts Floyd will be a "Fantasy Football Bust" in 2012. We would be shocked if he has more than 750 yards, a 14.0 yards per catch average or better, and 7 or more touchdowns. Those are not good numbers for the 13th overall draft pick when you take into consideration Larry Fitzgerald makes defenses leave Floyd with single coverage (open) all season. (click here for our July 18, 2012 tweet proclaiming Floyd a Fantasy Football Bust on Twitter)

Green-Ellis, BenJarvus (Cincinnati Bengals RB) - 2012 NFLVR projection: 260 carries, 1118 yards, 4.3 average, and 10 tds. (click here for our June 1, 2012 tweet of this projection on Twitter)

Greene, Shonn (New York Jets RB) - 2012 NFLVR projection: 239 carries, 975 yards, 4.1 average, 5 tds, 24 receptions, 124 yards, 6.4 average, and 0 tds. (click here for our August 1, 2012 tweet of this projection on Twitter)

Johnson, Chris (Tennessee Titans RB) - 2012 NFLVR projection: 289 carries, 1271 yards, 4.4 average, 10 tds, 63 receptions, 435 yards, 6.9 average, and 2 tds. (click here for our July 24, 2012 tweet of this projection on Twitter)

Jones, Julio (Atlanta Falcons WR) - 2012 NFLVR projection: 71 receptions, 1143 yards, 16.1 average, and 11 tds. (click here for our June 1, 2012 tweet of this projection on Twitter)

Keller, Dustin (New York Jets TE) - 2012 NFLVR projection: 79 receptions, 964 yards, 12.2 average, and 9 tds. (click here for our August 16, 2012 tweet of this projection on Twitter)

Lloyd, Brandon (New England Patriots WR) - 2012 NFLVR projection: 74 receptions, 1273 yards, 17.2 average, and 13 tds. (click here for our August 4, 2012 tweet of this projection on Twitter)

Luck, Andrew (Indianapolis Colts QB) - 2012 NFLVR projection: (Passing) 541 attempts, 4045 yards, 7.5 yards per att, 23 tds, 16 ints, and (Rushing) 63 attempts, 265 yards, 4.2 yards per carry, and 3 tds. (click here for our August 4, 2012 tweet of this projection on Twitter)

Lynch, Marshawn (Seattle Seahawks RB) - 2012 NFLVR projection: 273 carries, 1064 yards, 3.9 average, 6 tds, 23 receptions, 149 yards, 6.5 average, and 1 td. (click here for our June 6, 2012 tweet of this projection on Twitter)

Maclin, Jeremy (Philadelphia Eagles WR) - 2012 NFLVR projection: 79 receptions, 1097 yards, 13.9 average, and 9 tds. (click here for our June 1, 2012 tweet of this projection on Twitter)

Manning, Peyton (Denver Broncos QB) - 2012 NFLVR projection: 482 attempts, 3714 yards, 7.7 yards per att, 29 tds. (click here for our August 16, 2012 tweet of this projection on Twitter)

McCoy, LeSean (Philadelphia Eagles RB) - 2012 NFLVR projection: 278 carries, 1306 yards, 4.7 average, 16 tds, 42 receptions, 310 yards, 7.4 average, and 3 tds. (click here for our June 5, 2012 tweet of this projection on Twitter)

Moss, Randy (San Francisco 49ers WR) - 2012 NFLVR projection: 54 receptions, 670 yards, 12.4 average, and 6 tds. (click here for our August 11, 2012 tweet of this projection on Twitter)

Newton, Cam (Carolina Panthers QB) - 2012 NFLVR projection: (Passing) 499 attempts, 3797 yards, 7.6 yards per att, 23 tds, (click here for our June 26, 2012 tweet of this projection on Twitter) and (Rushing) 94 attempts, 536 yards, 5.7 yards per carry, and 9 tds. (click here for our June 26, 2012 tweet of this projection on Twitter)

Olsen, Greg (Carolina Panthers TE) - 2012 NFLVR projection: 62 receptions, 731 yards, 11.8 average, and 7 tds. (click here for our August 21, 2012 tweet of this projection on Twitter)

Palmer, Carson (Oakland Raiders QB) - 2012 NFLVR projection: 512 attempts, 4404 yards, 8.6 yards per att, 25 tds. (click here for our June 26, 2012 tweet of this projection on Twitter)

Richardson, Trent (Cleveland Browns RB) - 2012 NFLVR projection: 253 carries, 1009 yards, 4.0 average, 8 tds, 41 receptions, 295 yards, 7.2 average, and 1 td. (click here for our August 4, 2012 tweet of this projection on Twitter)

Tate, Brandon (Cincinnati Bengals WR) - NFLVR's second biggest Fantasy Football Breakout Deep Sleeper of the Year. We expect Brandon Tate to start opposite of A.J. Green and for Green to see a lot more coverage than he did last season thus leaving Andy Dalton looking to Jermaine Gresham and Tate more than people expect. Tate, was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2009 draft despite coming off of an ACL/MCL tear by the New England Patriots. Needless to say, Tate missed the majority of 2009. However, he did have 1 carry for an 11 yard first down, 4 kickoff returns for 106 yards, and 26.5 average. In 2010 for the Patriots he had 432 receiving yards, 18.0 yards per catch, and 3 td's in very limited time. He also had 1047 kickoff return yards, 25.8 average, and 2 touchdowns, which all prove he got healthy. Last season he was released by the Patriots after their final preseason game and quickly snatched up by the Bengals. By Tate only being on the Bengals for a few days before the start of the 2011 Season he obviously did not have time to learn the playbook and was brought in solely a special team returner. Well, he excelled at his job by posting 998 kickoff return yards, 23.8 average, 543 punt return yards, 10.6 average, and 1 td. This past off season he stayed in Cincinnati learning the play book and working hard to become the starter opposite of A.J. Green. So far in camps he has been very good, running good clean precise routes, and showing his explosiveness. With his speed and the lack of attention NFL defenses will pay to him we can easily see Tate having at least 700 receiving yards and great, 15.0+, yards per catch for the Bengals in 2012 as long as he does in fact win the starting job. (click here for our June 26, 2012 tweet stating Tate is one biggest sleepers via Twitter)

TEAM:

Seattle Seahawks - As most of you may already be familiar with, we believe Tarvaris Jackson should be the starting QB for the Seahawks. He or any QB that starts for the Seahawks will be a desperate replacement QB for your fantasy football team. Not only will you have to worry about who will start from week to week; Tarvaris Jackson, Matt Flynn, or Russell Wilson, their stats for fantasy football purposes will not be great.
